Timber Lake West Camp

We have worked hard to maintain a full season structure in both of our two sessions. Each session has a beginning, middle and end including athletic programming, intercamp tournaments, waterfront activities, Visiting Day, a full Color War and closure activities. Our campers arrive together and leave together resulting in shared experiences and life long memories. Our sessions provide ALL THE FUN IN HALF THE TIME!

Our camp days are packed with fun and engaging activities. Our daily schedule consists of six activity periods, two assigned athletic periods, two assigned waterfront periods and two electives. During electives, our campers get to choose what they want to do from over 25 options. Campers get to explore their passions, try new things, and create connections with friends as they skateboard, go kart, waterski, or climb the rock wall. Our Arts & Crafts barn allows campers to tap into their creativity through Woodshop, Ceramics, Textiles, Stained Glass, Candle Making, Macrame and Fine Arts. We also have a range of performing arts electives including Drama, Dance, DJing, Music and Podcasting.

During a typical day, our campers eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in our Dining Room. We eat all meals as a full camp family, allowing siblings or friends across divisions and genders to connect and touch base with each other. Rest Hour, Free Play and Canteen are downtimes during our typical days where campers can write letters home, play cards, practice for performances, play catch, shoot hoops and just enjoy each other’s company.

Each day culminates with an evening activity. About three times a week we get together as a full camp for a performance or a show. These nights are filled with dancing, singing and camp spirit. On the alternate nights, campers in the same age group participate in wacky game shows, sports under the lights, scavenger hunts and more! Following evening activities our older campers head to the canteen while our younger campers head back to the bunk to unwind and get ready for bed.

During camp every camper has one scheduled phone call about a week into the session. They will call you at a predetermined time to chat about all things camp! You will also see your camper in person on Visiting Day, the second Saturday of each session (1st Session – July 12th, 2nd Session – August 9th).

In addition to these two moments of direct communication, you will be in constant contact with your campers Division Leader. Our Division Leader team is a group of adult educators and in some cases former campers who have spent many years at Timber Lake West. Their job is to keep you up to date on your campers experience. They will check in with you before camp, within the first 48 hours and on an as needed basis throughout the session. They will share stories about your campers accomplishments, friendships and answer any questions you may have about their day to day life while they are in our care.
