This Game Day Cocktail is perfect for Super Bowl Sunday—or any winter night. “The Game Day Cocktail just transports me back to Tuscaloosa, Alabama,” shares Leigh Hansen, a mom of three who attended the University of Alabama, and created the Habitual Hostess blog with her best friend (who she met in college!), Alston Calabrese. “Bourbon – it reminds me of the excitement of Game Day! You (or your date) would sneak bourbon in a flask into the stadium. You’d pour a little sip into your fountain drink of choice,” explains Leigh. Habitual Hostess’s upgraded version uses Ginger Beer and lime juice to elevate the drink—just a little.
