What has been the most difficult age with your children to date? What helped you overcome the challenges at that time? When Major was crawling, it was definitely our most challenging phase. He is very active and going anywhere with the two of them was tough for me since all he wanted to do was crawl all over the place. Meanwhile, Marlowe would inevitably run off in the opposite direction. Fun times!
What is your favorite family activity to do in Westport or the surrounding towns? We love visiting the local farms in the warmer months, and going for walks and hikes around our property.
What is the best white lie you have told your kids? My daughter recently loves crossing her eyes to goof off. I told her they’ll definitely stick like that one day when she least expects…she doesn’t seem to mind, though.
What is your proudest mommy moment? Whenever I have a good day of balancing my business and my kids, spending quality time with them, doing school pick up and drop off, and also meeting my work deadlines and having 0 emails to answer in my inbox…that’s a proud day. It’s only happened a handful of times but I feel like Wonderwoman when it does!
What’s your can’t live without beauty product? iS Clinical Cleansing Complex. It’s the best face wash ever ever ever.
What’s your favorite restaurant for a family dinner? A night out with friends? I love Kawa Ni for date night with my husband, and as a family we do BarTaco a lot. My kids love it there!
What are you most excited about in life right now? I’m really excited for the summer with my family, and for the growth with HappilyEvaAfter in 2019. I have some really cool stuff coming down the pipeline that I’m so excited about!
If you weren’t doing what you are today, what do you think your career path might have been? This is my second career already, so I don’t want to ponder that too intensely. I think I need to stay put for another decade or so!
If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted – what would you do?Watch Netflix in bed alone. LOL.
What is one piece of advice you would pass along to other moms? Trust your instincts! You know your kids and your family better than anybody else!
How did you end up where you are now in terms of your job, or whatever passion project it is you might be doing? I was an actress for 15 years, and had a fun and exciting career–but never felt completely fulfilled. After my daughter was born, I realized how hypocritical it would be to tell my daughter to follow her dreams while I was working at a job that didn’t truly make me happy. Becoming a Mom inspired me to re-examine what I wanted to do, and to tap back in to my interests. I started Happily Eva Afteras a lifestyle and motherhood hybrid. I truly believe that as Moms we can have a full plate of interests AND be dynamic and loving parents. I try to have my cake and eat it too!
