This is our third camp in our series on some of our favorite sleepaway camps across the country.
Located in the beautiful Adirondacks, Raquette Lake Camps are brother/sister sleepaway camps offering seven fun-filled, extraordinary weeks for boys and girls.
According to the Lapidus family, “There are numerous traditions at Raquette Lake Boys Camp but a select few go all the way back to its founding—traditions that focus on sportsmanship, friendship, instruction, responsibility, independence, and acceptance. These and other values continue to be the philosophical underpinnings of our enduring traditions.”
Raquette Lake Camps have operated with completely separate facilities but with common ownership, philosophy, and values. Both boys and girls enjoy scheduled socials and special events that bring them together in a comfortable, accepting environment. Brothers and sisters from both camps have lunch together weekly.
One of the amazing things about Raquette Lake camps is that they have the largest waterfront and lake of any camp in the United States! This gives them the ability to offer every possible water sport. The endless options of activities and things to do are camp are wonderful! As one of the oldest camps in the country, the Lapidus family says “We know how to create a rich, rewarding summer experience. We’re giving you the chance to work hard, play harder, and enjoy the best summer you’ve ever had.”
